Constantin Rotariu is a man on a mission: getting everybody and everything into bitcoin. And rather sooner than later. For 7 years he is on a crusade demystifying Bitcoin and promoting the vast opportunities of Bitcoin as a personal and/or corporate investment. Un-bank yourself is his advice to anyone who is listening. And by connecting the online and offline world with their Bitcoin ATMs, the rise of Bitcoin Romania goes hand in hand with the skyrocketing course and increasing popularity of Bitcoin. Yet there is no end to his ambition: “We plan to have over 250 Bitcoin ATM machines in Romania before the end of the year and campaign for companies to invest in Bitcoin”.

Dr. Michael Huertas is member of our Banking and Finance practice and Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Regulatory Practice Group in Europe. Michael leads our Eurozone Hub and the wider Eurozone Group of multi-disciplinary, multi-jurisdictionally qualified and multi-lingual professionals who help our clients navigate and realize the opportunities in the EU – and notably the Eurozone’s regulatory, supervisory and monetary policy framework. Michael specifically advises on the Eurozone's Banking Union, the European Central Bank’s monetary policy activity and the EU’s Capital Markets Union workstreams, the EU’s Benchmarks Regulation reforms along with the regulatory and supervisory priorities of the European Supervisory Authorities.

MAARTEN OONK

Director at the Deloitte Center for the Edge

Maarten Oonk is Director at the Deloitte Center for the Edge and expert on transformation, disruption and exponential technologies. At Deloitte’s Center for the Edge, he acts as a Subject Matter Expert, helping senior executives with long term strategies to shape and create new growth on the edge of business. 

Prior to Deloitte, Maarten worked for over 7 years for TNO, a renowned R&D and technology institute. At TNO, he led the industry team on Transport & Logistics. He was also chairman of various international working groups on vehicle automation and R&D for transport. He has a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from Twente University.
